I found another use for all those pecans! I needed a quick dish to bring to my small group bible study. Pecans to the rescue!
I found a recipe online and totally botched it. It was late when I was making these and once I put them in the oven I realized I completely screwed up the recipe. God must have been looking out for me because they ended up being so delicious so I figured I’d share. Enjoy!
What you need:
Rolls
- 1 can Pillsbury crescent roll sheets
Filling
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 2/3 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/3 cup milk
What you do:
- Preheat oven to 375
- Mix your filling and spread over the rolled sheet
- Roll into a log length wise and press closed
- Cut the log into 1-2 inch rolls depending on how big you want your rolls to be
- Arrange the rolls in a buttered or oiled baking dish
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
- Mix glaze ingredients together
- Drizzle over the rolls as soon as they come out of the oven
- Serve warm
I doubled the recipe and I also made extra glaze so my rolls can soak in them.
