Cinnamon Spice Cakes with Sweet Cream Filling

So I’ll start by asking you to excuse my drizzle because I haven’t quite perfected it. Still, these pancakes were DELISH! It’s the perfect way to bring brunch to your own kitchen table without all the hassle. Use these tips for a super simple way to spice up your pancakes.

What you need:

  • 2 cups Box Pancake mix (go with the just add water kind)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp all spice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

What you do:

  • Mix pancake mix and water until well blended (remember never to mix all the lumps out)
  • Stir in spices and sugar
  • Cook your pancake as you usually do
  • In a bowl, combine the sour cream and the powdered sugar and mix until smooth
  • Drizzle (or dump like I did) your filling over each pancake, stack and serve

*This should make about 10 medium sized pancakes
